A 2004 Bellevue West High School graduate's untimely death helped save the life of multiple people last week, according to his relatives.
Justin Pyzdek, 21, died last Tuesday at University of Nebraska Medical Center after he was involved in a two-car crash in Omaha on March 10. Involved in soccer as a youngster, he enjoyed working on cars and electronics.
"Justin was one of those people who would back you up 100 percent, and Iknow you might expect his aunt to say that but it's true," said Christine Coop, Pyzdek's aunt. "He would do anything for anybody and didn't expect anything in return."
His services took place on Saturday at Avery Presbyterian Church. A trust fund was setup for Pyzdek's 20-month-old daughter, Kaydence, at American National Bank. Checks should be made out to the Justin Pyzdek Memorial Fund.
In addition to his aunt and daughter, Pyzdek is survived by his uncle, John Coop; mother and stepfather, Dina and Chris Merrick of Bellevue; father and stepmother, Frank and B.J. Pyzdek of Omaha; brothers, Matt Pyzdek of Omaha and Christopher Merrick Jr.of Bellevue; and sister, Amber Barna of Papillion.
