From Robert's sister...
My brother Robert was in the Amaco station on Dodge street purchasing some gas & lottery tickets when three black males came into the store, they then tried to rob the lady at the counter who cried out for help and my brother chased out after them andf called 911. As he called 911 one of the boys shot him 6 to 9 times while on the phone with a 911 operator. He then proceeded in his vehicle about one and a half blocks toward the nearest hospital when he could go no further. And your son Officer Pratt was the first one on the scene and the person who was last with my brother before he died if he hadn't already passed away....we will never know for sure when he passed away. But, he was trying to help someone & I guess that only shows that you can be in the wrong place at the wrong time..Thank You so very much for the beautiful memory of my brother I wear my TYE Band everyday and I will with that always REMEMBER Bobby!!! April
